
When analysing Shovel Knight’s net revenue, Steam accounted for 32 percent, 30 percent on 3DS, 20 percent on Wii U, 14 percent across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, and 4 percent on Xbox One. He reasoned that porting games is cheap, and the effort in doing so can result in an even spread of revenue across those targeted.
